Our Pop up Pub…Popped up again
Keeping those who attended the Whitchurch Hill fete well refreshed was our mission, and we did just that!!!!
It was a great afternoon on Saturday 24th of May when we pitched the White Lion Pop up Pub at the Fete. The weather was kind, and the fete attracted lots of stalls and amusements and lots of thirsty visitors.
Despite having up the 6 volunteers busily serving at one time, the queues still grew as we served our range of Beer, Cider, Lager, Wine and soft drinks.
We coped with Cash or Card (signal permitting), welcomed our first customers just before 1.00pm and served our last beer at 5.45pm.
A long and busy day.
Thanks must go to our Great Volunteers.
They did a fantastic job in the best White Lion tradition!
(L>R). Julie Giles, Suzie Shackell, John Crompton and Elsie Shackell

Thanks also to Phil Mason for the fantastic bar artwork and supporting the bar service, Simon Chambers for providing the equipment, Jon Hatt for the straw bales, and all those who helped to set up and take down the White Lion Pop up Pub.
We had a great time, and we hope all those who attended did as well.
Look out for the Pop up White Lion as it will be popping up somewhere again
